Neutering helps prevent unwanted litters and can reduce certain behaviors and health risks. It’s a routine surgery, but we treat it with the same care and attention we give every procedure.

Mass removals can range from simple to more complex, depending on the size and location of the growth. Whether it’s for comfort, mobility, or peace of mind, we’re here to help you decide what’s best for your pet. Depending on the location and size, we may be unable to safely remove them and will refer you elsewhere.
We price based on the size of the mass:
Minor (up to 4 cm): $450
Major (over 4 cm): $550

What to expect on surgery day
Surgery can feel like a big step, so we keep the process simple and predictable. Here’s how a typical surgery day works at Remedy:
Before your visit: We’ll confirm your pet’s fasting instructions when you book — most pets need to skip breakfast the morning of surgery. Water is usually fine. If your pet takes daily medication, let us know and we’ll advise.
Drop-off: You’ll check in with our team in the morning, review the plan, and leave your pet in our care. We’ll take it from there.
During surgery: Your pet is monitored throughout the procedure by our veterinary team, from anesthesia through recovery. Pets over 6 years old require pre-op bloodwork so we can make anesthesia as safe as possible.
Pick-up: We’ll call you when your pet is awake and ready to head home, and walk you through recovery instructions in person — including pain management, activity restrictions, and how to care for the incision site.
Recovery at home: Most pets are back to themselves within a few days. We’ll tell you exactly what’s normal, what’s not, and when to call us

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to spay or neuter my pet at Remedy? Cat neuters are $150 and cat spays are $350. Dog neuters run $150–$200 and dog spays $350–$400, based on weight. What you pay is what the procedure costs us to provide — nothing more.
Is bloodwork required before surgery? Pre-op bloodwork ($100) is required for pets over 6 years of age and recommended for all pets. It checks organ function so we can tailor anesthesia and keep your pet as safe as possible.
How long does recovery take? Most cats and dogs recover from spay or neuter surgery within 10–14 days. We’ll send you home with clear instructions, and our team is a phone call away at 404-875-6420 if anything seems off.
Do you perform other surgeries? Yes — in addition to spay and neuter, we offer mass removals, cystotomies (bladder stone removal), minor wound repair, and other common soft-tissue procedures. If a case is beyond what we can safely do in our clinic, we’ll refer you to a trusted partner.
Do I need to be a client to book surgery? No — new patients are welcome. Book online or call us and we’ll get your pet scheduled.
