Suki’s New Walk
When Suki came to Remedy, her family had already experienced every pet owner’s fear. After a sudden loss of movement in her back legs, she was rushed to the emergency room and diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), a spinal condition where the discs between the vertebrae bulge or rupture, placing pressure on the spinal cord. IVDD can cause intense pain, weakness, loss of bladder control, and even the inability to walk. Almost overnight, Suki could no longer stand on her own.
After the ER visit, her family was left managing both a frightening diagnosis and the cost of ongoing care. They came to Remedy for affordable medication and continued treatment — and a plan they could sustain.
Our team created a thoughtful, structured regimen focused on pain management, strict rest, and guided recovery. Because we provide care at cost, Suki’s family didn’t have to choose between financial stability and her healing. They could focus on helping her regain strength.
Today, we’re pleased to share that Suki is doing incredible. She’s walking, playing, and moving on her own again — and she’s pain free.
Stories like Suki’s remind us why access to affordable pet care matters. Emergency visits save lives. Continued, affordable care restores them.
