Our Newest Greeter at Gainesville

Just a few weeks ago, a small orange kitten was spotted near the Remedy clinic in Gainesville, huddled under a bush, clearly frightened and alone. He was about three months old and struggling to get by. With the help of a caring neighbor, a staff member gently brought him to safety.

At first, he was terrified and unsure of people, infested with fleas and internal parasites. But with patience, care, and a quiet place to heal, he began to let his guard down. A small paw injury was treated, his parasites treated, he received his first round of vaccines, and he found comfort staying with the staff member who took him in.

They named him Toulouse: after the orange kitten from The Aristocats and in no time, his personality started to shine.

These days, Toulouse spends his days at the clinic, greeting visitors and keeping staff company. He’s become a sweet, friendly face around Remedy, and many have come to think of him as our unofficial “clinic cat.”

But his story isn’t finished just yet. Once he’s neutered and fully vaccinated, Toulouse will be ready to find a forever home of his own.

He may have started out as a scared stray, but now Toulouse is full of love and ready for the next chapter, with a family who will love him just as much as we do.
